Separate collections

We have become accustomed to perceiving waste as an economic and ecological resource. However, waste can also be a cultural resource, as it has been for artists since the early twentieth century. It depends on how one looks at it and interprets it. Even photography, which is often found to be waste and low-consumption material, can regain its expressive value by being converted back into a collection object.
